Washington, District of Columbia
Announcement #: 21-CRM-CEOS-031
Application Deadline: April 8, 2021

CEOS trial attorneys prosecute federal child exploitation offenses, including child pornography, child sexual abuse, child sex trafficking, international child sex tourism, and enticement of children for sexual abuse or exploitation, in partnership with Assistant United States Attorneys and law enforcement agents throughout the country. CEOS trial attorneys also frequently work closely with the digital investigative analysts within CEOS's nationally recognized High Technology Investigative Unit (HTIU) on especially high impact cases developed by the HTIU through its employment of innovative investigative and forensic techniques. Because these cases involve the application of cutting-edge technologies, both in the commission of the criminal offenses and investigation of them, CEOS trial attorneys regularly face novel and challenging legal and technological issues. Many cases and operations handled by CEOS attorneys are national and international in scope. Additionally, CEOS trial attorneys provide advice and training to U.S. and foreign prosecutors, law enforcement agents, and government officials, as well as develop legislation and domestic and international policy in the criminal law enforcement areas detailed above.
