A former Georgia poll worker was indicted yesterday for allegedly mailing a letter that threatened to bomb a polling place and harm poll workers and for lying to the FBI during the investigation.

JACKSON, MS – A former Jackson Police Department officer pleaded guilty today to making a false statement to a firearms dealer in the acquisition of a firearm.

Ocala, Florida – United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Joseph Rocco Quaranta (48, Dunnellon) has pleaded guilty to attempted enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity. Quaranta faces a minimum penalty of 10 years, up to life, in federal prison. A sentencing date has not yet been set.

Joshua Decker encountered the out-of-state 16-year-old victim in an online chat forum and began regularly communicating with them despite knowing the victim was a minor. In April 2023, the conversations became graphic and sexual, and Decker discussed traveling to meet the victim.

Sarah Nale was ordered to pay over $816,000 in restitution and sentenced to nine months in prison followed by nine months of home confinement.
