BETO 2019 Peer Review Results Are Now Available Online

reportt

In Denver, CO, on March 4-7, 2019, the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency's Bioenergy Technologies Office (BETO) held its ninth biennial external Project Peer Review of its research, development, and demonstration portfolio. The peer review process enables external stakeholders to provide feedback on the responsible use of taxpayer funding and make recommendations for the most efficient and effective ways to accelerate the development of an advanced bioeconomy.

This review process is critical to the success of BETO's mission which includes:

  • Developing technologies that convert domestic biomass and waste resources into fuels, products, and power
  • Enabling economic growth and innovation in affordable energy and chemicals production
  • Support the growth of the domestic bioeconomy.

A report summarizing the results of both the Project Peer Review meeting (March 2019) and the Program Management Review meeting (July 2019) is now available online.
