Amended Bulletin: So You Can't Go To Boston For NSTA This Year, But...

You can't go to Boston for the National Science Teaching Association's National Conference this year...

...but some of conference can come to you!

On Saturday, April 4, 2020 from 3 - 7:30 PM ET, the National Earth Science Teachers Association (NESTA) will offer a FREE virtual conference.

Enjoy professional development in your jammies with the beverage of your choice!

If you want to participate in any part of the conference you must register by March 31, 2020 to hold your spot.


The Schedule:

  • 3:00 - 4:00 PM Interactive Presentation - GeoHazard: Using Simulations to Explore Natural Hazards and the Risks They Pose to Human Communities. Explore a classroom-tested curriculum that helps students investigate hurricanes, wildfires, and flooding, as well as the factors that contribute to risk and human impact.

  • 4:10 - 5:10 PM Virtual Share-a-Thon Watch 5 to 10 minute videos from presenters ahead of time. Then, ask questions and chat with them in Zoom rooms during the session. More information will be provided to all registrants.

  • 5:20 - 6:20 PM Interactive Presentation - TBD

  • 6:30 - 7:30 PM Virtual Friends of Earth Science Reception NESTA and its partners (i.e. NOAA Planet Stewards, the American Meteorological Society, etc.) will present awards to recognize excellence in Earth Science teaching. Join us as we honor amazing educators! We will applaud and toast them from our living rooms! Come see old friends and meet new ones....virtually.
