Pompeo spoke today with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, and expressed appreciation for Qatar's solidarity in the face of Iran's malign regional influence, including the December 31 attack on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad.  Secretary Pompeo and Deputy Prime Minister Al Thani reviewed a range of regional developments and agreed on the need for continued, close engagement to advance peace and security in the region.
