Nuns have been enlisted to write letters to Catholic voters, veterans are being targeted by ferreting out property tax exemptions to which they're entitled, and paid canvassers are heavily working minority and rural communities to boost turnout. The crucial Iowa caucuses take place in just over a week, on Feb. 3, and polls show the race too close to call. |
