Deputy Secretary Biegun's Meeting with Republic of Korea National Security Advisor Chung 01/09/2020 06:28 PM EST Office of the Spokesperson The below is attributable to Spokesperson Morgan Ortagus: On January 8, Deputy Secretary of State Stephen Biegun met with Republic of Korea (ROK) Blue House Director of the National Security Office Chung Eui-yong in Washington, D.C.  Deputy Secretary Biegun and Director Chung reaffirmed close U.S.-ROK coordination on North Korea.  The two discussed recent events in the Middle East and ongoing coordination on global security issues. Deputy Secretary Biegun and Director Chung affirmed the enduring strength of the U.S.-ROK alliance and reiterated their commitment to cooperation in the Indo-Pacific.
