Jan 31, 2020 BREAKING: Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski announces she will vote against witnesses at Trump's trial, almost certainly dooming the measure Sen. Lisa Murkowski, R-Alaska, announced on Friday that she will vote against calling witnesses at President Donald Trump's impeachment trial, almost certainly ensuring the measure's defeat and paving the way for a final vote on the president's fate. After debate and a vote on witnesses, the trial will move to a final vote on whether to acquit or convict Trump on the two articles of impeachment passed by the House.
