FinCEN Issues Notice on the Use of Convertible Virtual Currency Kiosks for Scam Payments and Other Illicit Activity

Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN) issued a Notice urging financial institutions to be vigilant in identifying and reporting suspicious activity involving convertible virtual currency (CVC) kiosks. The Notice provides an overview of typologies associated with illicit activity involving CVC kiosks, highlights red flag indicators, and reminds financial institutions of their reporting requirements under the Bank Secrecy Act.

Join me in Vegas?

This is a special message regarding the 2025 Stansberry Conference, hosted by our corporate affiliate, Stansberry Research. The Chaikin Analytics team will be there presenting, and we'd love you to join us.

Dear Reader,

Hi, Marc Chaikin here.

This fall, I'll be in Las Vegas for the 2025 Stansberry Research Conference & Alliance Meeting.

It's a spectacular event... one of the best business-mixed-with-pleasure industry conferences that I know of, and I hope you can join us.

With your event ticket, you'll receive engaging presentations and candid conversations about today's investing environment.

Expert editors and analysts will detail their favorite investment opportunities...

And often, the ideas shared on stage can produce incredible gains that could cover the cost of your conference ticket – and then some.

Like at last year's conference, for example, I gave a presentation about a little-known self-driving company and I suggested attendees take a closer look... Roughly six weeks later, the stock was up 67%.

Stansberry editor Gabe Marshank recommended a metals mining company on stage, and shares are currently up 110%.

There are many other examples of stocks shared at this event that went on to be winners... Dozens of recommended stocks are included in the presentations.

You have to be there to hear it first!

Pete Carmasino and I are both presenting there this year, and I think what we have to say may surprise you...

Also, we love getting to meet our subscribers – whether it's chatting over lunch or grabbing a drink together at the end of the day.

Plus, they also have a phenomenal line-up of external speakers this year, like:

  • "Silicon Valley's most feared journalist"
  • One of Fortune magazine's "World's 50 Greatest Leaders"
  • A CNBC regular (and returning event favorite)
  • A former two-term city councilmember and mayor
  • And many more...

See the full list of dynamic speakers here.

It's really a special event, with top-notch accommodations, food, and drink.

(Our hotel is the No. 1 rated luxury resort in Las Vegas – see details and pictures here.)

There are also several included evening receptions with entertainment – great for networking and meeting other like-minded subscribers.

I'm told tickets have sold out for the last five years, so don't wait to save your seat.

Hope to see you in Vegas!
