Les deux dirigeants ont discuté d'opportunités substantielles de commerce et d'investissement, qui maintiennent la compétitivité de nos entreprises et défendent les intérêts des travailleurs ; ils ont abordé la responsabilité commune de protéger et de renforcer la démocratie en Angola et dans le monde ; et ils ont célébré la croissance continue de la relation entre les États-Unis et l'Angola en matière de défense. Le président Biden a souligné la portée des engagements des États-Unis à hauteur de plus de 3 milliards de dollars à l'égard de projets d'infrastructure en Angola en soutien au corridor transafricain de Lobito, une initiative multinationale qui vise à accélérer la croissance économique inclusive et à mettre en lien les marchés le long du corridor avec le reste du monde, tout en créant des emplois de qualité et en améliorant la vie et les moyens de subsistance le long du corridor et aux États-Unis. Il a également salué le rôle de l'Angola dans la promotion de la paix et de la sécurité en Afrique subsaharienne, notamment ses efforts de médiation dans le conflit qui sévit dans l'est de la République démocratique du Congo (RDC).
