A 72-year-old woman from Idaho, Penny Kay Clark, who had likely spent several days alone in the wilderness, was rescued after good Samaritans discovered her wrecked car halfway down a canyon and called for help. Two hunters came across a crushed Chevrolet near Map Rock Road and Rim Road, matching the description of Clark's vehicle. She had no contact with her family since December 5, and the Nampa Police Department reported her disappearance. Deputies found Clark about 40 feet below her car in a ravine, and upon confirming she was alive, they coordinated a rescue effort with multiple agencies, including the Life Flight Network, Nampa Police, Canyon County paramedics, fire departments, and the Idaho Department of Fish and Game. Idaho Mountain Search and Rescue members reached Clark on foot, and after a two-hour effort, she was carried to a staging area on Map Rock Road, where she was airlifted to a nearby hospital for medical care. Clark is reportedly recovering at the hospital with her family by her side. (read more) |

Then, once the market closes for the day and the huge selling pressure ends, the stock is able to snap back to fair value.
For example, check out what happened with Apple back on March 6th...
As you can see from 12pm on… Apple’s stock began dumping, lower and lower. This setup happens every single day.

In the ever-twisting corridors of Washington politics, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer takes center stage. Comer's latest maneuver? A symbolic impeachment vote against President Joe Biden. But there's a twist - he's avoiding Fox News like the plague. Why? It seems even the slightest hint of dissent, particularly from Fox anchor Steve Doocy, is more than he's willing to entertain. A Clash of Media Titans Diving into the depths of this political spectacle, we find Comer confiding in Newsmax host Eric Bolling, expressing his unease with Doocy's critical stance on the Biden investigation. The investigation itself, lacking concrete evidence against Biden, hinges on the involvement of his son, Hunter Biden. The plot thickens as Fox News, often a conservative stronghold, shows signs of internal strife. A Question of Fortitude With the House set to vote on formalizing the impeachment proceedings, many are left wondering: If Comer shies away from mild criticism, how will he withstand the fierce onslaught of an actual impeachment process? Is avoiding criticism a strategy, or a sign of weakness? (read more) |

If you got them right, [you] could then use the rules to predict what would happen in new situations,” said Ed Thorp. In some realms, artificial intelligence might just outpace human intellect. Consider this: AI can sift through vast data oceans, pinpoint patterns, and make sharp trades—all in mere moments. This very prowess fuels Renaissance Technologies' astounding 66% annual returns over a twenty-year span. Yet, such AI marvels remain elusive to the everyday trader, unlike hedge funds.

Thursday saw the passage of a $886 billion defense policy bill by the Republican-controlled House, despite the removal of numerous conservative provisions during negotiations with the Senate. It is now expected that President Joe Biden will sign the National Defense Authorization Act, making defense policy legislation a law for the 63rd consecutive year. Despite conservative resistance to a temporary extension of federal surveillance powers and the absence of strict measures regarding abortion, transgender troops, and diversity within the ranks, the yearly policy bill passed with a vote of 310–118. Speaker Mike Johnson used an accelerated procedure to put the bill to a vote, avoiding procedural votes that have killed other bills. In the end, the final defense bill was opposed by 45 Democrats and 73 Republicans. Democrats provided more votes than Republicans did to pass the bill, despite their minority status. Even though the compromise received bipartisan support, Johnson, who is already facing criticism from the GOP's conservative faction on other issues, may still have additional difficulties as a result of it. Many conservatives opposed the bill after congressional leaders included a four-month extension of spy powers that target foreigners' communications. These hardliners were led by the conservative House Freedom Caucus. (read more) |

A British boy who went missing six years ago during a family vacation to Spain has been located. Alex Batty, who was only 11 years old at the time of the trip with his mother, Melanie, and grandfather, David, in 2017, was recently found. The La Dépêche du Midi newspaper revealed that a 17-year-old teen, claiming to be Alex Batty, was picked up by a truck driver in France on Tuesday. Toulouse's public prosecutor confirmed the teenager's identity. It was reported that Batty, along with his mother and grandfather, had been living in a "traveling spiritual community." The teen chose to leave this community last week, embarking on a multi-day hike along mountain trails before being picked up by the truck driver. (read more) |

An Iowa helicopter pilot is thankful he wasn't hurt worse than he was when he got into an unexpected and bizarre accident while in the air. While piloting a helicopter a few weeks ago, Troy McCormick had an unfortunate collision with a duck. But the duck and the helicopter collided at just the right time, speed, and angle to send the duck through the helicopter windshield. The pilot was struck on the head by the duck. McCormick says he had little to no warning before the bizarre and gruesome impact. "The bird came through the windscreen and hit me right in the side of the head here, 'boom,' and then exploded all over in the inside of the aircraft," McCormick explained. McCormick was covered in blood and feathers after the ordeal, and was very disoriented. He had to divert to the nearest airport to land, but he admits he doesn't remember much after being hit in the head by the duck. "Knocked me out for a little bit I think," McCormick said. "I don't remember some of the information about what all happened." Here's how the landing went and how McCormick is doing today. (read more) |

Two scientists who work at the University of Florida were arrested on Friday after putting their kids in cages during the time they went to work. The couple, 35-year-old Dustin Huff and 31-year-old Yurui Xie, reportedly acted as if this was a normal thing to do as officers searched their property. "I'm not used to walking in and seeing a cage where children are kept at night and, of course, when home alone," said Gainesville Police Sergeant John Pandak. The cage that the 6 and 2-year old children were placed in reportedly consisted of a "large unsanded, wooden enclosure made of pressure-treated 2x4's, that appeared to be a makeshift cage." Here's what one of the children told police about how often his parents would make them get in the cage. (read more) |
