The following GAIN reports were released on May 11, 2026. _______ Japan: Japan Proposes GI Protection for 14 Alcoholic Beverages from European Union Member States Japan’s National Tax Agency (NTA) published a list of 14 proposed geographical indications (GIs) for alcoholic beverages from European Union Member States, including Greece, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Malta, Portugal, and Slovakia.
