Akron Career Offender Sentenced to 20 Years in Prison for Trafficking Meth, Fentanyl, and Cocaine 03/10/2026 08:00 AM EDT A Summit County man has been sentenced to prison for possessing and intending to distribute more than 1,400 grams of methamphetamine, as well as distribution quantities of fentanyl and cocaine, and for possessing firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon. Hagerman Man Sentenced in Federal Firearms and Drug Trafficking Case Adopted from Fifth Judicial District Attorney's Office 03/10/2026 08:00 AM EDT Jorge De La Cruz, a previously convicted felon, was sentenced to 100 months in prison following multiple encounters with law enforcement which resulted in the recovery of multiple firearms and large quantities of narcotics.
