Queens Man Indicted for Sex Trafficking Five Victims, Including Three Minors, at Hotels on Long Island and Elsewhere 03/12/2026 08:00 AM EDT Earlier today, in federal court in Central Islip, a 12-count indictment was unsealed charging Tyrone Stylistic Crooks with multiple counts of sex trafficking, sexual exploitation of minors, and transportation for prostitution.  The charges in the indictment stem from Crooks's sex trafficking of five victims, including three minor girls who were between the ages of 14 and 17 years old at the time of the alleged crimes.    Jurors Convict Former Missouri Police Officer of Civil Rights Violation, Other Charges 03/11/2026 08:00 AM EDT Jurors found Samuel Davis guilty of one count of deprivation of rights under color of law, one count of witness tampering and one count of falsifying records in a federal investigation. Jamestown man pleads guilty to multiple sex trafficking charges and drug conspiracy 03/11/2026 08:00 AM EDT U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced today that Zaid Mendoza a/k/a Diamond, 47, of Jamestown and Falconer, NY, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra, Jr. to narcotics conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 400 grams or more of fentanyl, 500 grams or more methamphetamine, and heroin, and three counts of sex trafficking by force. The charges carry a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years and a maximum of life.  Former Florissant Police Officer Sentenced to 24 Months in Prison for Searching Women's Phones for Nude Images 03/11/2026 08:00 AM EDT Julian Alcala illegally searched the phones of 20 women for nude photos while on duty and in uniform.
