And that theme is… There are a select group of stocks that are simply too cheap to ignore. The general population is aging. Medical advancements are in the works with new AI tech. That means there are several undervalued healthcare companies right now. One of them recently came across my gift gap scanner with a setup that's too good to ignore. The ticker is Abbott Laboratories (ABT). ABT is a medical device and healthcare company headquartered in Abbott Park, Illinois. Two of its products are Pedialyte and the infant formula Similac. There are two main reasons I like ABT for a trade right now... For one, it recently fell on earnings despite meeting expectations. First-quarter guidance fell below expectations. But I believe this negative earnings reaction is overblown... and my gift gap scanner agrees with me. Check out the Gift Gap setting up on ABT… These gift gap signals are often signals that Wall Street is overreacting to a stock on the downside. In short, it means "buy now" for a potential gap fill up. Based on 10 years of back-tested data, my gift gap strategy has shown a staggering 97.11% win rate when targeting a 25% gap fill. The second reason I like ABT is smart money is also targeting it. Last week, the chairman of the company bought 18,800 shares, valued at $2 million. Insiders buy only when they believe the price of the stock is going to go up. So these two factors are why ABT is a great short-term trade option for a potential fill upward. |
