Guatemalan National Sentenced to Eight Months in Prison for Forcibly Assaulting Federal Officers During Immigration Arrest 01/15/2026 07:00 AM EST BOSTON – A Guatemalan national has been sentenced in federal court in Boston for assaulting multiple officers during an immigration arrest. Jury Convicts Honduran National of Aggravated Identity Theft and Associated Fraud Charges 01/15/2026 07:00 AM EST Tampa, FL – A federal jury has found Nidia Roxana Maradiaga-Flores (28), an illegal alien from Honduras, guilty of aggravated identity theft, false representation of a Social Security number, and making a false claim of United States citizenship for employment purposes. Maradiaga-Flores faces a maximum penalty of 12 years in federal prison. Her sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 17, 2026. U.S. Attorney Gregory Kehoe made the announcement. Two Israeli men arrested in separate complaints on immigration charges 01/14/2026 07:00 AM EST U.S. Attorney Michael DiGiacomo announced today that Elazar Wigdorowitz, 33, and Israel Enden, 46, both citizens of Israel, were arrested and charged in separate complaints. Wigdorowitz is charged with improper entry by alien, which carries a maximum penalty of six months in prison. Enden is charged with bringing in and harboring certain aliens, which carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison.  Federal Grand Juries Charge Three with Illegal Reentry in Northwestern Ohio 01/14/2026 07:00 AM EST Federal grand juries returned indictments on Jan. 7 charging three individuals with illegal reentry of a previously removed alien, in violation of Title 8 U.S. Code 1326.  Mexican Native Sentenced to Prison for Illegally Reentering the United States 01/14/2026 07:00 AM EST DAVENPORT, Iowa – A Mexican citizen was sentenced on January 14, 2026, to six months in federal prison for illegally returning to the United States after being deported.
