New Orleans Man Sentenced For Federal Drug and Weapons Offenses 12/02/2025 07:00 AM EST NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson announced that on November 20, 2025, LAWRENCE WATKINS ("WATKINS"), age 27, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Eldon E. Fallon to 72 months imprisonment, to be followed by 4 years supervised release, after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(C), and 841(b)(1)(D) and possessing a firearm in furtherance of that drug trafficking crime, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 924(c)(1)(A)(i).
