Mother Convicted for Interstate Violation of Protective Order Regarding Her Estranged Teenage Son 12/09/2025 07:00 AM EST Following a 5-day jury trial, Shana Gaviola, 38, formerly of Clovis, was found guilty of interstate violation of a protection order for causing her estranged teenage son to be taken against his will and transported from California to Missouri. Court Appoints Eric Grant to Continue to Serve as the United States Attorney for the Eastern District of California 12/09/2025 07:00 AM EST Today, Chief U.S. District Judge Troy L. Nunley administered the oath of office to Eric Grant, swearing him in to serve as the court-appointed United States Attorney and thereby continue as the chief federal law enforcement officer for the Eastern District of California.
