Update for Users of the Elsevier DirectCourse Learning Management System
The Maine Office of Aging and Disability Services (OADS) and the Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) published a Request For Proposals (RFP) 202406113 Professional Training and Certification Services in fall 2024. As a result of these negotiations, Woodfords Family Services will be the contracted vendor to provide Professional Training and Certification Services for the Direct Support Professional certification beginning in 2026.
The license with Elsevier DirectCourse for the College of Direct Support content currently used for DSP certification is expiring as of June 30, 2026. The DSP certification curriculum and ongoing training requirements are under development and will be hosted in a new learning management system. OADS will be providing technical assistance and education on the use of the new system for all affected users. Agencies will be transitioned to the new learning management system during Spring 2026, with access to Elsevier expiring June 30, 2026.
