That sector is oil and gas. You see… expanding U.S. oil production has been a cornerstone of President Donald Trump's administration. In fact, Politico has described Trump as pushing for a rebalancing of US energy markets to favor fossil fuels. One particular oil company that's been backing Trump is Occidental Petroleum (OXY). Its CEO even donated $1 million to Trump's inaugural committee after his election win. Here's why OXY is on my watchlist for a trade right now. For one, OXY has recently been selling off from its high in the $60s. So it's in "buy" territory. Plus smart money is also pouring in. As you'll see below, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway has been buying shares aggressively in the $40s, $50s and even $60s. With the Oracle of Omaha having a major stake and continued political support, I'm looking at OXY for a put sell in The War Room. If you're not familiar with how put selling works, I'll actually be going over it in greater detail on Wednesday (August 6th @ 11:30am)live in the Monument Traders Live chat. (Click here to add to your calendar) But in short – put selling is a bit more advanced – but it's not nearly as scary as your broker makes it out to be. Put Selling 101 To clear up one important point, "put selling" is not the same as "put buying." When you buy a put, you're expecting the stock to go down so you can make money. However, when you SELL a put, you can make money if the stock to goes down, stays the same, or goes up. So overall - there's 3 ways to make money with put selling. There's a right and wrong way to execute put sells, and you'll want to avoid making mistakes that could decimate your portfolio. Which is why I'll be explaining put selling in more detail on this week. Action Plan: Put selling isn't for everyone, but it should be. It's one of my most consistent winning strategies in The War Room In fact, I have an 95% win rate on all my put sell trades since its inception in 2019, And I'm confident I can show you how to start using it for your own trading for FREE during my Karim Must Be Crazy!
