Former New Orleans Attorney Sentenced to Nine Years in Prison For Commodity Exchange Act Violation 07/29/2025 08:00 AM EDT NEW ORLEANS, LA – Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M. Simpson announced that MICHAEL BRIAN DEPETRILLO, ("DEPETRILLO"), age 43, from New Orleans, was sentenced on July 23, 2025 for violating the Commodity Exchange Act, in violation of Title 7, United States Code, Section 13(a).
