Benjamin Holmes Found Guilty of Fentanyl Trafficking Conspiracy and Federal Gun Violations 04/08/2025 08:00 AM EDT NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – On April 2, 2025, BENJAMIN HOLMES ("HOLMES"), a Bogalusa resident, was found guilty by a jury on April 2, 2025 of one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(B), and 846, one count of possession with intent to distribute more than 40 grams of fentanyl and an amount of marijuana, in violation of  Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(B), and 841(b)(1)(D), one count of possession of firearms in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 924(c)(1)(A), being a convicted felon in possession of firearms, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 922(g)(1) and 924(a)(8), and one count of maintaining a drug-involved premises, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Section 856(a), announced Acting U.S. Attorney Michael M.
