USPTO Alert Share your opinion about minimum length requirements for sequence listings in a WIPO survey The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) is seeking public input regarding the impact of their Standard ST.26 minimum length requirement on patent practice. The USPTO is alerting stakeholders about the survey to assist WIPO in gathering public input. ST.26 lays out the requirements for presenting nucleotide and/or amino acid sequences in patent applications and prohibits the inclusion of "short" sequences in sequence listings. "Short" sequences are defined as any nucleotide sequence with fewer than 10 specifically defined (non-"n") residues or any amino acid sequence with fewer than four specifically defined (non-"X") residues.  The WIPO survey will be open until March 31.  Take the survey  ​  ​      ​    ​  Having trouble accessing links in this email?
