Utah Man Sentenced for Bankruptcy Fraud 03/14/2025 08:00 AM EDT SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – U.S. District Court Judge Jill N. Parrish sentenced Richard Villanueva Mitchell, 54, of Midvale, Utah, to two years' probation for bankruptcy crimes.  The U.S. Attorney's office for the District of Utah recommended a sentence of 48 months' imprisonment followed by a term of supervised release after a federal jury found him guilty of bankruptcy fraud, false bankruptcy declaration, and bribery in bankruptcy in August 2024.  Orlando Man Sentenced To 18 Years In Federal Prison For String Of Armed Robberies 03/14/2025 08:00 AM EDT Orlando, Florida – Senior U.S. District Judge John Antoon II has sentenced Dany Telfort (20, Orlando) to 18 years in federal prison for two counts of Hobbs Act robbery and two counts of brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. The court also ordered Telfort to forfeit the firearm and ammunition used in the offenses. Telfort pleaded guilty on October 31, 2024. Haines City Man Arrested For String Of Convenience Store Robberies 03/14/2025 08:00 AM EDT Tampa, Florida – Acting United States Attorney Sara C. Sweeney announces the arrest of Davian Walker (19, Haines City) for robberies of convenience stores throughout the Middle District of Florida. If convicted, Walker faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison.  Guatemalan National Indicted For Illegal Reentry By A Previously Deported Alien 03/14/2025 08:00 AM EDT Orlando, Florida – Acting United States Attorney Sara C. Sweeney announces the return of an indictment charging Gudelito Adin Cinto-Gonzalez (43, Guatemala) with illegal reentry by a previously deported alien.
