Compensation costs up 3.6 percent in 2024 02/04/2025 Total compensation costs for private industry workers in the United States rose 3.6 percent from December 2023 to December 2024, compared with a 4.1-percent increase for the year ended in December 2023. In the New York-Newark, NY-NJ-CT-PA, metropolitan area, compensation costs increased 2.8 percent over the past year, following a 4.2-percent increase from December 2022 to December 2023. HTML
