The latest Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey news release has been posted on the BLS website at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/jolts.pdf and also archived at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/archives/jolts_01072025.pdf. Highlights are below. November job openings, hires, and total separations change little; quits decrease 01/07/2025 The number of job openings was little changed at 8.1 million on the last business day of November. Hires changed little at 5.3 million. Total separations were little changed at 5.1 million. Quits decreased to 3.1 million, while layoffs and discharges changed little at 1.8 million.
