Dear Tribal Subscribers:
The U.S. Department of Justice recently announced the opening of the FY 2025 Coordinated Tribal Assistance Solicitation period. Also known as CTAS, the funding under this initiative is available to assist American Indian and Alaska Native communities in the areas of crime prevention, victim services and coordinated community responses to violence against native women. CTAS offers a streamlined application process for tribal governments and organizations seeking federal funding to enhance law enforcement, improve tribal justice systems, prevent youth delinquency, combat violence against women, support victim services, and address other pressing public safety needs. By consolidating multiple DOJ grant programs under a single solicitation, CTAS enables tribes to address their unique needs in a comprehensive and coordinated manner.

JustGrants Deadline: March 25, 2025, 8:59 pm Eastern
The notice of funding opportunity contains details about available grants and describes how federally recognized American Indian and Alaska Native tribal governments and tribal consortia can apply for funding. Several important updates have been made to the funding opportunity this year. A new Purpose Area 5: Adult Tribal Treatment Courts has been added for a total of eight (8) Purpose Areas available. Additionally, the application process has been simplified for FY 25. Instead of attaching written narrative documents as required in previous years, applicants will provide answers to questionnaires directly in JustGrants to cover the information that was previously described in the Tribal Community and Justice Profile and Purpose Area Narrative documents.
We encourage eligible applicants to carefully review the solicitation and take advantage of the training and technical assistance resources available to guide them through the application process.
CTAS is administered by the Department's Office of Justice Programs (OJP) and Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office). For questions regarding this funding opportunity, please contact:
