Is the Meltdown Just Beginning?  Wednesday ended in an absolute bloodbath following the latest rate cut from the Federal Reserve, which also signaled a slowdown in its cutting plans for the future.  But if you’ve been reading this and watching my Premarket Must Watch for the past several weeks, then you probably weren’t surprised that the market sold off.  Sure, it was a really bad day, but we’ve been discussing the potential for the market to start heading south for a while now. And I’ve been warning people to trim longs and start moving to cash because market fundamentals have been really bad.  And when the Magnificent Seven stocks finally give up the ghost, the whole market would take a dive because they’ve been carrying things higher for weeks now while the S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) has been falling.  While the market took a dive, the VIX Volatility Index, aka the “Fear Gauge,” exploded 75% higher.
