A former New York-based branch manager was sentenced yesterday to 13 months in prison, three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $208,938.68 in both restitution and forfeiture of criminal proceeds for misusing his position to steal approximately $208,938.68 from a customer's accounts.

A Pennsylvania man has been sentenced to 57 months in prison after pleading guilty to an organized scheme that defrauded the Lucas County, Ohio, auditor of more than $622,000.

Orlando, Florida – United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announces that Dany Telfort (20, Orlando) has pleaded guilty to two counts of Hobbs Act robbery and two counts of brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. Telfort faces a minimum penalty of 14 years, up to life, in federal prison. His sentencing hearing is set for February 13, 2025.

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Ten defendants have been convicted in federal court for their participation in an identity theft and fraud ring based out of Columbia, South Carolina with victims in at least South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, Georgia, Virginia, Missouri, and New York.

Tampa, FL – U.S. District Judge William F. Jung has sentenced Enock Edouard (37, Tampa) to 28 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, being a felon in possession of a firearm, and obstruction of justice. Edouard was found guilty on May 8, 2024, following a two-day bench trial.

Following an eight-day trial, Rajesh Motibhai Patel, a primary care physician at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia, was found guilty by a jury of violating a patient's constitutional right to bodily integrity while acting under color of law and for engaging in unwanted sexual contact.

MOBILE, AL – Roosevelt White, a Mobile man, has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for possessing a firearm as a previously convicted felon.  The sentence was imposed by United States District Judge William H. Steele.
