U.S. employment projected to be 174.6 million in 2033 11/22/2024 Total employment in the United States is projected to grow from 167.8 million in 2023 to 174.6 million in 2033, an increase of 4.0 percent. Growth over the decade is projected to be slower than the 13.7-percent increase recorded from 2013 to 2023. This slower employment growth is the result of an expected slowdown in civilian noninstitutional population growth. HTML
