Good Monday afternoon. Election Day is now just hours away, we're tracking a new tornado threat after violent storms slammed the central U.S. over the weekend, and the verdict is in for a former Ohio police officer charged with murder after he fatally shot an unarmed man.

Here is what's in our Nightly Rundown.

Harris and Trump make final push with just hours until Election Day

On the eve of Election Day, Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump are spending the final hours of the 2024 race delivering their closing arguments on the campaign trail.

Both candidates are in the critical battleground state of Pennsylvania today. Harris is blitzing across the state, with events in Scranton, Allentown, and Pittsburgh, capped off with a rally and concert in Philadelphia.

Trump has two rallies scheduled today in Reading and Pittsburgh. The former president began the day with an event in North Carolina, and will hold the last rally of his campaign in Michigan tonight.

Our final national NBC News poll shows Harris and Trump locked in dead heat, and the last New York Times/Sienna poll of the election cycle shows a tight race in the seven battleground states.

Trump, as part of his closing message, told his crowd in North Carolina today that he would impose a 25% tariff on imports from Mexico if the country does not help stem what he called the "onslaught" of immigration into the United States.

On Saturday, Harris made a surprise appearance on SNL, leading NBC to file a notice with the FCC offering the Trump campaign equal time.

Tornado watch across Oklahoma after weekend of severe weather

Eastern Oklahoma remains under a tornado watch this afternoon after violent storms left a path of destruction across the state over the weekend.

Showers and thunderstorms are bringing heavy rain to parts of Oklahoma, Arkansas and southern Missouri this afternoon, with tornadoes and large hail expected across the region this evening.

Multiple tornadoes in Oklahoma left at least 11 people injured and about 100 homes damaged over the weekend, according to authorities.

Also today, we're tracking a tropical depression in the Caribbean that could become Tropical Storm Rafael, and potentially threaten the Gulf Coast.

Former Ohio police officer found guilty of murder in Andre Hill shooting

A former police officer who killed an unarmed Black man walking out of a garage nearly four years ago in Columbus, Ohio, has been found guilty of murder.

Adam Coy is facing life in prison after he was convicted on all counts for fatally shooting Andre Hill on Dec. 22, 2020. The deadly encounter was recorded by bodycam.

Coy testified that he mistakenly believed Hill was holding a revolver when he ordered Hill to come out of a darkened garage, and shot him four times.

Hill was actually holding keys and a cell phone, according to investigators. Police also later learned that Hill was a guest of the homeowner.

Russia suspected of plotting to place incendiary devices on planes headed for U.S., WSJ reports

Western security officials believe that a covert Russia operation was responsible for shipping two incendiary devices through DHL, as part of a plot to start fires aboard cargo or passenger planes flying to the U.S. and Canada, The Wall Street Journal reported today.

The devices, two electric massagers implanted with a magnesium-based flammable substance, exploded at DHL logistics hubs in Germany and the U.K. in July, the WSJ reported. NBC News has not independently confirmed the WSJ's reporting.

A TSA spokesperson told NBC News in a statement that over the past several months, the agency has "put additional security measures" in place for U.S. aircraft operators and foreign air carriers regarding certain cargo shipments bound for the United States.

At this time, there is no active threat targeting U.S.-bound flights, a U.S. government official said.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, asked for comment by the WSJ, said: "We have never heard any official accusations" of Russian involvement. He added, "These are traditional unsubstantiated insinuations from the media."

What else we're watching:

A top aide to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been arrested for allegedly leaking classified information that may have harmed hostage negotiations, a court in the city of Rishon LeZion said.

An eruption at Indonesia's Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki volcano has left at least 10 people dead, officials said.

The Supreme Court will take up a redistricting case involving Louisiana's congressional map with two mostly Black districts, but arguments will not be heard until after the election.

One person is dead and another is missing after a boat capsized near Bodega Head in California's Sonoma County, authorities said.

Another NFL team has sacked its head coach in the middle of the season.

Quincy Jones, the legendary music producer and entertainment industry titan, has died at 91, his publicist said.
