Each year with the release of the January Consumer Price Index (CPI), seasonal adjustment factors are recalculated to reflect price movements from the just-completed calendar year. These revised seasonal adjustment factors and the end-of-year supplemental files will be released on February 12, 2025, at 8:30 AM Eastern Time, in conjunction with the release of CPI data for January 2025. With the release of these files, the seasonal factors and selected end-of-year materials will also be available in the BLS API and CPI text files. These files will be available for all U.S. city average CPI-U data and a subset of U.S. city average CPI-W data. To ease the transition, BLS posted last year's end-of-year files. In addition, last year's data are also loaded into the BLS API. See our new aspect metadata files factsheet and our seasonal adjustment notice for additional information.
