I feel it's time to share my perspective on where we're headed, both in terms of business and in our collective consciousness. For over two decades, everything we've been working on—including Lumaria, our project on Maui—has been guiding us toward this moment. When we first arrived in Hawaii, we were introduced to remarkable individuals like Ram Dass and other pioneers within spiritual and scientific networks, such as those who collaborated with Alexander Shulgin. These experiences have not only shaped our journey but also reflect where the world is now headed.
This movement is about longevity, clean foods, and plant medicine. However, it is important to clarify that when we speak of plant medicine, we're not just referring to psychedelics. It's about fostering a deeper, more conscious connection among people. It's about healing, not desensitization. Personally, I'm not striving for immortality. Instead, my focus is on creating projects, partnerships, and innovations that offer transparency and promote well-being globally.
As a company, and through the initiatives we support—whether through platforms like WeFunder, Republic, or the rapidly evolving world of decentralized finance (DeFi)—we're witnessing an incredible shift in how the world operates. In essence, we've become a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) on a grand scale. Together, as a community interconnected across various businesses and ventures, we are discovering more about who we are, and, crucially, who we want to build with.
This is precisely what we're doing through Orthogonal Thinker, EI Ventures, and Cloud3 Ventures. We are positioning ourselves to innovate in ways that will disrupt outdated systems and create meaningful change. Take healthcare and retail, for instance. Today, when you walk into a store like CVS, it's challenging to find clean, health-promoting products. The market is flooded with artificial, unhealthy options—driven by capitalism and the commodification of human suffering. We're here to challenge that norm.
The global market for longevity, consciousness, and healthcare is vast, valued in the trillions of dollars. Add to that the financial liberation being ushered in by DeFi, and you begin to see the tremendous potential we have. Our goal is to empower people to break free from the "hamster wheel" of life, to take control of their own futures.
