ANCHORAGE, Alaska – The leader of an Anchorage drug trafficking conspiracy was sentenced today to 20 years in prison and five years' supervised release for dealing fentanyl and methamphetamine in Anchorage.

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Nakiah Twobear Eagle, age 27, of Stilwell, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 60 months in prison for one count of Possession of a Firearm in Furtherance of a Drug Trafficking Crime.On March 25, 2024, Eagle pleaded guilty to the federal firearms offense.  According to investigators, on August 30, 2022, an Adair County Sheriff's Office Investigator conducting a routine traffic stop discovered Eagle to be in possession of a loaded .22 caliber semiautomatic pistol, along with 732.8 grams of methamphetamine, which Eagle intended for distribution. Eagle knowingly possessed the firearm in furtherance of his trafficking of methamphetamine.

This morning, six people were arrested on charges connected to a wide-ranging conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, cocaine base, cocaine, and methamphetamine, in the Potomac Gardens Housing Project in Southeast Washington D.C., announced U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and FBI Acting Special Agent in Charge David Geist of the Washington Field Office.

NEWARK, N.J. – A Bronx, New York, man was sentenced today to 156 months in prison for distributing heroin and fentanyl into New Jersey from two drug mills in the Bronx, which resulted in the death of a 15-month-old child.

Orlando, Florida – U.S. District Judge Wendy W. Berger has sentenced Shawndell Johnson (32, Melbourne) to 17 years and 7 months in federal prison for distribution of a controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. The court also ordered Johnson to forfeit the firearms and ammunition used in the offenses. Johnson entered a guilty plea on June 7, 2024.

An indictment was unsealed in the District of Columbia charging leaders of the violent drug trafficking organization known as Los Zetas, and its successor organization, Cartel del Noreste (CDN), with engaging in a continuing criminal enterprise; drug trafficking conspiracy; firearms offenses; and international money laundering conspiracy.

A Kansas City, Mo., man pleaded guilty in federal court today to distributing fentanyl, which resulted in three overdose deaths in Belton and Raymore, Mo., as part of a drug-trafficking conspiracy.

Baltimore, Maryland – U.S. District Judge Stephanie A. Gallagher sentenced Ronald White, age 56, of Pikesville, Maryland, to eleven years in federal prison, followed by 5 years of supervised release, for a drug conspiracy and distribution charges related to his supplying cocaine, crack cocaine and fentanyl to drug traffickers operating in West and Northwest Baltimore as well as money laundering charges.

BOSTON – A member of a nationwide drug trafficking ring was sentenced yesterday in federal court in Boston for drug trafficking charges. During the investigation, over 160 pounds of pure methamphetamine, as well as an AK-47, a Glock with no serial number, two loaded Smith & Wesson handguns and over 4,200 rounds of ammunition were seized. An illegal marijuana grow operation with hundreds of marijuana plants was also dismantled.

MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced that Michael John Jones, age 41, of Talihina, Oklahoma, was sentenced to 63 months in prison for one count of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine.On February 6, 2024, Jones pleaded guilty to the charge.  According to investigators, on January 24, 2023, law enforcement conducting a routine traffic stop discovered Jones driving on a suspended license while travelling northbound on Highway 63 west of Talihina.  A subsequent search revealed Jones to be in possession of multiple plastic baggies containing over 124 grams of methamphetamine intended for distribution.
