War orphan turned ballerina dies at 29

Her life story was as fantastical as the fairy tales that inspire ballet.

Michaela DePrince, an acclaimed ballerina, has died at 29. She had lead roles in major ballets, danced in a Beyoncé video, was sponsored by Nike and was often mentioned alongside Misty Copeland.
