Saint Tammany Parish Man Sentenced For Violating Federal Controlled Substances Act 08/22/2024 08:00 AM EDT NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – LARRY JAMES ("JAMES"), age 23, of Madisonville, Louisiana, was sentenced on August 20, 2024 after previously pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute, 40 grams or more of a mixture and substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance, in violation of Title 21, United States Code, Sections 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(B), and 846. JAMES also pled guilty to three counts of distribution of fentanyl and, one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 841(a)(1), 841(b)(1)(B), 841(b)(1)(C), and 846.
