Job separations rate unchanged at 3.4 percent in May 2024 07/08/2024 The total separations rate, the total number of separations during the entire month as a percentage of employment, remained unchanged at 3.4 percent in May 2024. The quits rate was 2.2 percent for the seventh month in a row. The layoffs and discharge rate remained unchanged at 1.0 percent. Other separations, with a 0.2 percent rate, accounted for the remaining separations. HTML
