OSCAR PENA-CRESPO, also known as "Boti," 29, of Waterbury, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Michael P. Shea in Hartford to 12 months and one day of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release, for trafficking narcotics.

BOSTON – A Cambridge man was arrested on July 18th in connection with an ongoing investigation of counterfeit pills containing fentanyl and methamphetamine. Over the course of the past four years, the defendant is alleged to have been responsible for the manufacturing of over 200 kilograms of counterfeit pills.

Tavon Lyles, 34, a convicted felon from Washington, D.C., was sentenced today to 90 months in prison, to run consecutive to any other sentence, in connection with dealing crack cocaine inside a variety store to undercover police officers while he was armed with a Glock 22 semi-automatic handgun, announced U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and Chief Pamela A. Smith of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD).

Andre Malik Edmond, 23, of Temple Hills, Maryland, was sentenced today to 130 months in prison for participating in a massive fentanyl trafficking conspiracy that shipped hundreds of thousands of fake oxycodone pills from Southern California to destinations throughout the United States, including the District. Edmond, aka "Draco," was one of 24 co-defendants arrested over the course of 2023 in D.C., Virginia, Maryland, San Diego, and Los Angeles and charged in the conspiracy.

Brian Chaidez, 27, of Omaha, Nebraska was sentenced July 19, 2024, in federal court in Omaha after having pled guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine.
