Productivity growth in 23 of 24 manufacturing and mining industries over 1987–2023 06/05/2024 Over the 1987–2023 period, labor productivity rose in 23 of 24 manufacturing and mining industries. Annualized average increases in labor productivity ranged from 0.1 percent per year in apparel manufacturing to 7.2 percent in computer and electronic products. In beverages and tobacco products manufacturing, labor productivity decreased 1.0 percent per year from 1987 to 2023. HTML
