U.S. District Judge Richard D. Bennett today sentenced Eghosasere Avboraye-Igbinedion a/k/a "Ego" and "Ghost," age 28, of Miramar, Florida, to 66 months in federal prison and one year of home confinement, followed by two years of supervised release, for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and four counts of mail fraud, in connection with a scheme in which he and his co-conspirators defrauded more than 85 elderly victims of more than $2.5 million.  Judge Bennett also ordered Avboraye-Iginedion to pay restitution in the amount of $1,695,600.  Avboraye-Igbinedion was convicted by a federal jury on June 15, 2023, after a six-day trial.
