The latest U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes news release has been posted on the BLS website at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/pdf/ximpim.pdf and also archived at https://www.bls.gov/news.release/archives/ximpim_09152023.pdf. Highlights are below. U.S. import prices rise 0.5% in August on higher fuel prices; export prices advance 1.3% 09/15/2023 U.S. import prices increased 0.5 percent in August following a 0.1-percent advance in July. Prices for U.S. exports rose 1.3 percent in August, after increasing 0.5 percent the previous month. Over the past year, import prices declined 3.0 percent and export prices fell 5.5 percent.
