How Conjunctive Analysis is Essential to Justice Research

Term of the Month - Conjunctive Analysis

Conjunctive analysis of case configurations is an exploratory data analysis technique which examines many risk factors simultaneously, as opposed to factoring one at a time while controlling for other factors. 

Since its adoption into criminology by Terance Miethe, Timothy Hart, and Wendy Regoeczi in 2008, it's been used in the field to study patterns in carjacking incidents, intimate partner violence, homicide investigations, robbery risk factors, and missing person cases – with many other applications.
