Scott, Acting Police Commissioner Richard Worley, HABC President and CEO Janet Abrahams, and MONSE Associate Director of Victim Services Mark Mason will hold an in-person meeting in the Brooklyn community to have an in-depth discussion directly with the community about the recently released After Action Report concerning the July 2nd mass shooting. | | | | WHEN: | Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. | | | | WHERE: | Baybrook Elementary and Middle School Cafeteria 4301 10th St. Baltimore, MD 21225 | | | | MEDIA LOGISTICS TO NOTE: | This event will have specific parameters for press. Mayor Scott will hold a brief press availability prior to the start of the meeting at 5:45 p.m. This will be a "pen & pad" event, meaning no cameras will be allowed during the actual meeting out of respect for the community members and to protect their privacy. Media is requested to avoid filming or recording inside the cafeteria where the main meeting will take place. These parameters are set in order to respect the community members who are present but who may be hesitant to fully participate if they are being recorded. Opportunities for B-Roll will be facilitated, and reporters will be welcome to sit-in on and report on the entirety of the event – only filming and recording in the main room will be limited. Residents will be requested to extend the same respect to their neighbors.
