HRSP is seeking an experienced federal criminal prosecutor to serve as a Deputy Chief. Working closely with the other managers, the incumbent will supervise investigations, litigation, inter-agency engagement and participate in policy work. The incumbent's principal duties will include:

  • Serving as the direct supervisor for some of the Section's litigating Trial Attorneys;
  • Supervising the investigation and prosecution of ongoing cases involving immigration crimes, including international human smuggling networks that endanger the lives of migrants, pose national security concerns, or are involved in other forms of transnational organized crimes, as well as multi-jurisdictional immigration fraud-related offenses;
  • Coordinating with United States Attorney's Office and federal law enforcement agencies in the development and management of national and international investigations and prosecutions; and
  • Developing proposals and strategies to further the Section's case-related work, and advising and preparing recommendations, reports and memoranda for the Chief, the Assistant Attorney General of the Criminal Division, and other senior officials within the Department.
