Aloha, As we recorded Episode 9, we realized we've got a lot more to cover - so we've broken it into 2 parts: psychedelics and cannabis. Today on part 1, I speak with Aras of Avicanna and Anthony of Magmetis about investing in what we believe is a global mental health revolution aiming to improve the current clinical care model. We discuss how the traditional psychedelic industry is evolving into the psychoplastogen industry, especially as it relates to ketamine and new molecules, as well as the legal framework within which these developments exist (both in Canada and the US). Right now, approximately 1 million Americans are admitted to the ER for a suicide attempt annually. The public is recognizing that Big Pharma is failing us and pushing for change. In fact, for the first time in the DEA's history, public opinion actually dissuaded the DEA from scheduling a new set of (DMT) molecules. The waves of change are ready to surf if navigated properly. We've got quite a journey to cover, from drug development to legalization, and I'm confident that by investing in founders and companies that move cautiously and responsibly through these matters, we'll be able to provide the public with access to good medicine.
