Liquefied natural gas, or LNG, is the main fuel for powering electrical grids and heating homes in the winter.    Behind Russia, the United States has the most natural gas in the world. A huge portion of that is in the Marcellus Shale which is just a few hundred miles from Boston.   So why is Boston paying to ship natural gas from places like Trinidad and Tobago?    I've spent the past two years researching this story.
