View Online IMMEDIATE RELEASE General Officer Announcement Aug. 1, 2022 Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced today that the president has made the following nomination: Air Force Col. Thomas P. Sherman for appointment to the grade of brigadier general.  Sherman is currently serving as the portfolio manager, Agile Combat Support, Deputy Chief of Staff, Strategy, Integration and Requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.
