Eric Schmitt has won the Republican nomination for Senate in Missouri, ending a comeback bid by disgraced former Gov. Eric Greitens.

Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt won the Republican nomination for Senate in Missouri, beating out Rep. Vicky Hartzler and disgraced former Gov. Eric Greitens.

The Democratic primary remains too early to call, according to NBC News. John Wood, a former investigator for the House Jan. 6 committee, will also be on the ballot in November. He is running as an independent partially out of concern about Greitens. The seat's current occupant, Republican Sen. Roy Blunt, is retiring.
