A rise in violent crime is testing recently elected progressive officials in a city known for its "lock them up" approach. And a 76-million-year-old T. (Jim Vondruska / Getty Images)   A man who police say for weeks planned the mass shooting on a July Fourth parade in Illinois has been charged with seven counts of first-degree murder in the killing spree, officials said Tuesday evening.   Robert "Bobby" E. A portrait of the suspect as a mysterious and music-obsessed loner who got darker and more delusional as he got older has begun to emerge. The suspect legally purchased multiple weapons, including at least two rifles, prior to the shooting, authorities said Tuesday. A YouTube channel with numerous videos featuring the suspect posted a clip that appears to show the parade route that was targeted and another showing an animated shooting. Vice President Kamala Harris made a brief, unscheduled visit to Highland Park Tuesday evening to thank law enforcement and other first responders. Experts say you don't need to pay thousands of dollars for one.  One Fun Thing  76 million-year-old skeleton of T. rex relative to be auctioned in New York City At nearly 10 feet tall and 22 feet long, the Gorgosaurus was an apex carnivore that lived in what is now the western United States and Canada during the late Cretaceous Period, about 10 million years before its relative the Tyrannosaurus rex.   The fossilized skeleton of a Gorgosaurus discovered in Montana in 2018 will be auctioned in New York this month, Sotheby's auction house said.   Read the full story here.
