Jun 30, 2022 BREAKING: Biden says he supports an 'exception' to the Senate filibuster to allow Democrats to pass abortion, privacy protections President Joe Biden said during a news conference on Thursday that he would support an exception to the Senate filibuster to codify protections for privacy, including abortion. "I believe we have to codify Roe v. Wade in the law and the way to do that is to make sure Congress votes to do that, and if the filibuster gets in the way, it's like voting rights, we should … require an exception to the filibuster to allow this action," Biden said.
